Things to do /Events close to Lydenburg
The Gustav-Klingbiel Nature reserve just 15 minutes away and offers a number of mountain biking trails with varying degrees of difficulty and length- from riders just learning the skill to those that wanting a technically difficult outride. Children can use the easier, shorter routes. There are a number of hiking trails, bird watching and walking routes- remember wild animals such as antelope, wildebeest, zebra and others have right of way! Iron age sites that date back to 500AD can be explored on the reserve and the small museum has replicas of the famous Lydenburg heads and Voortrekker memorabilia on display.
Scenic Drives out of Lydenburg: Take a drive out of Lydenburg and enjoy the Long Tom Pass to Sabie.
