Stonecutters Lodge lies between Dullstroom and Lydenburg, in the heart of South Africa’s fly and trout fishing territory and is bordered by the Dorps River for three kilometers. Stone-packed riffles and still deep pools can be enjoyed by enthusiastic fly-fishermen whilst their family and friends picnic beside this accessible, pristine and free-flowing river. The ongoing management and maintenance of the river and its banks ensures the best possible fishing experience. There is natural breeding in the river and the breeding is supplemented by stocking on a regular basis.
There are two dams, measuring a quarter of a hectare and one hectare respectively. A jetty serves each dam and both dams are well stocked.Catch and release is permitted on the waters (see Rules).Enjoy a special Fly-fishing Package at Stonecutters!
Stonecutters is a member of FOSAF (Federation of SA flyfishers) The official voice of South African fly-fishermen.
