Fly-fishing tuition may be arranged at Stonecutters and is worthwhile for both newcomers to the sport or for those wishing to hone their skills particularly with regard to river fishing, which requires different techniques to dam fishing.

Clinics may be run by professionals for groups or parties wishing to do a team-build or expert guides may be hired on a one on one basis for the experienced angler. Beginners can make use of a local guide who can teach the basics.

Equipment: Rods, reels and nets are available to hire from the lodge at R85 per and a limited range of flies may be purchased for R13 per fly. Fish taken R95 per kilogram.
